The Saudi Cup is the richest horse race in the world, with a total purse of $30m USD in prize money. The client requested a cohesive security and safety management plan to protect not only the event production and operations phases, but asset protection and security control for this high profile closed event hosted by the Royal Family of the Kingdom. Coupled with this complex task, was the provision to provide a robust COVID-19 mitigation plan.
WEWATCH deployed a joint management team to Saudi Arabia, consisting of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment, (QHSE) and Security management professionals. Upon arrival, analysis, assessments, and liaison were conducted with the myriad of government security force and police entities involved in the event. Furthermore, through detailed planning and coordination QHSE, solid security pans were developed. As a result, efficient physical and technical solutions were delivered and executed with great success, allowing a seamless transition through all design, planning, and live event phases.
